Despite its name, Beaujon square was not a square at all but a short and narrow private street entered through an arched gateway that cut through an apartment building on boulevard Haussmann. Larroque owned all the buildings on the street – yet another of Maurice Larroque’s wise investments during the precarious years after the war – and used them to house its various brands and holdings. The group’s top management occupied a wide two-storey pavilion that closed off the street, complete with a vast terrace overlooking a small fountain.
